Thinking about the consequences of having a child…

See the thing is, I look at some of my friends who have kids already and they seem happy for the most part. Their babies are tooo fucking cute!!! And they are always posting status’ about their kids, funny pictures, and videos. Good times right? Why wouldn’t you want to start a family?

Then I thought of this, I’m 21 years old… that’s still pretty young to be having kids. By the time I’m 41 years old that baby will be in college! That’s insane!! I’m in college right now! When I step back and look at where my mother is, she’s struggling to keep me in college and support my little brother.

The fact of the matter is, I’m not stable financially not even to support myself much less another person.

Then theres the fact that I’m a lesbian, my lover and I will need to  figure out who’s gonna carry the baby and then who the father will be… Great.

Soooo, I’ve come to the conclusion that even though children are really adorable and fun, that it just isn’t the right time for me. Besides, I still need to party and travel a bit before I actually settle down :P
